The Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League ended the 2009 season with a record of 74 wins and 66 losses, finishing second in the league's Liberty Division.

The Ducks scored 703 runs and gave up 689 runs. Ray Navarrete led Long Island with 25 home runs and drove in 96 runs. Juan Francia paced all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .310 clip. Troy Cate topped the squad with 13 wins and a team-best 3.28 ERA, best among qualifying pitchers.

Jim Brower, Héctor Carrasco, Alberto Castillo, Troy Cate, Cory Doyne, Ron Flores, Lew Ford, Raúl González, Brad Halsey, José Herrera, Hansel Izquierdo, George Lombard, Julio Mañón, Dan Miceli, Alex Prieto, Ken Ray, Bill Simas, Joe Valentine and Preston Wilson were all players from the 2009 Long Island Ducks who played in the Major Leagues during their careers.
