The Lansing Lugnuts of the Midwest League ended the 2012 season with a record of 82 wins and 55 losses, finishing first in the league's Eastern Division.

The Lugnuts topped the league with just 563 runs allowed. Lansing scored 672 runs. Kevin Patterson led the team with 19 home runs K. C. Hobson drove in 86 runs and topped all regular batters by hitting .276. Anthony DeSclafani paced the squad with 11 wins, while Justin Nicolino registered a 2.47 earned run average, best among regular hurlers.
