The Memphis Chicks of the Southern Association ended the 1958 season with a record of 69 wins and 84 losses, finishing seventh in the SA.

The Chicks plated 606 runs, worst in the league, and surrendered 703 runs. Lee Howell paced Memphis with 13 home runs Larry DiPippo drove in 74 runs. Shephard Frazier topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by hitting .276. Bill Slack led the squad with 10 wins, while Ken McBride recorded a 3.58 ERA, tops among hurlers with significant time on the mound.

Members of the 1958 Memphis Chicks who played in Major League Baseball during their careers were Al Moran, Jim Pagliaroni, Jerry Dahlke, Ken McBride, Frank Baumann, Jerry Mallett, Don Gile, Don Robertson, Duane Wilson, Arnold Earley and Bill Abernathie.
