The Montgomery Rebels of the Alabama-Florida League ended the 1958 season with a record of 65 wins and 61 losses, finishing fifth in the AAL.

The Rebels allowed 561 runs, least in the league. Montgomery plated 608 runs. James Green paced the team with 15 home runs Leo Smith recorded 85 runs batted in and topped hitters with significant playing time by connecting at a .297 clip. Bob Humphreys led the squad with 10 wins and a team-best 2.29 ERA, leading pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.

Bob Humphreys played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Montgomery Rebels to do so.

Schoolboy Rowe and Neil Berry served as manager.
