The Montgomery Rebels of the Alabama-Florida League ended the 1959 season with a record of 77 wins and 42 losses, finishing first in the AAL.

The Rebels plated 748 runs, tops in the circuit. Montgomery gave up 509 runs. Jim Bethea and Peter Walski paced the squad with 21 home runs apiece., while Legrant Scott walloped 15 or more, too. Jim Bethea drove in 99 runs and topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .320 clip. Ron Falkenhagen, Dick Egan and Jose Mejias led the team with 14 wins each, and Dick Egan earned a 2.7 ERA, leading qualifying pitchers.

Lorencito Fernández and Dick Egan both played in Major League Baseball during their careers.
