The Bears plated 646 runs and yielded 585 runs. Jimmy Hurst walloped 35 home runs for Newark, while Joe Mathis and Tom Hage added 15 or more, too. Jimmy Hurst drove in 100 runs and topped all regular batters with a .341 average. David Moraga paced the team with 9 wins, and Byron Batson recorded a 4.46 ERA, tops among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
