The Vols plated 787 runs and surrendered 763 runs. Gail Harris paced Nashville with 25 home runs, while Harvey Gentry, Bill Taylor, Bob Boring and Bob Lennon each walloped 15 or more, too. Bob Boring drove in 111 runs and topped hitters with significant playing time by hitting .315. Jack Harshman recorded 23 wins on the mound for the squad, and Jim Constable, too added 15 or more wins, too Jack Harshman recorded a 3.27 ERA, leading regular hurlers.

Bob Lennon, Harvey Gentry, Jack Harshman, Billy Gardner, Gail Harris, Jim Constable, Rube Novotney and Bill Taylor were all players from the 1953 Nashville Vols who played in the Majors during their careers.
