The Vols scored 764 runs and yielded 765 runs. Bob Meisner led Nashville with 21 home runs, while Buddy Gilbert walloped 15 or more, too. Joseph Christian accounted for 85 RBI and topped hitters with significant playing time by hitting .336. John Davolio and Glen Crable paced the squad with 10 wins each, and Wally Seward recorded a 3.28 ERA, tops among regular hurlers.

Buddy Gilbert, Tom McAvoy, Sonny Dixon, Gene Host, Rod Kanehl, John Romonosky and Joe McCabe were all players from the 1961 Nashville Vols who played in the Majors during their careers.
