The Red Sox scored 706 runs, most in the league. Pawtucket conceded 637 runs. Chico Walker paced the squad with 18 home runs, while Marc Sullivan, Steve Lyons and Pat Dodson each walloped 15 or more, too. Kevin Romine drove in 72 runs. Gus Burgess led all regular batters by connecting at a .272 clip. Charlie Mitchell topped the squad with 10 wins, and Paul Gnacinski registered a 4.24 earned run average, tops among regular hurlers.
