The Roanoke Rapids Jays of the Coastal Plain League ended the 1950 season with a record of 80 wins and 58 losses, finishing first in the CPL.

The Jays scored 835 runs, most in the league. Roanoke Rapids yielded 676 runs. Warriner Bass led batters with significant playing time by connecting at a .302 clip. Alton Brown earned 28 wins on the mound for the team, while James Thorne, too added 15 or more wins, too Alton Brown recorded a 2.38 ERA, tops among qualifying pitchers.

Alton Brown played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Roanoke Rapids Jays to do so.

Glenn Lockamy and Walt McJunkin served as manager.
