The Savannah Braves of the Southern League ended the 1982 season with a record of 69 wins and 75 losses, finishing fourth in the league's East Division.

The Braves scored 622 runs and conceded 638 runs. Brad Komminsk led Savannah with 26 home runs, while Steve Curry, Paul Croft and Ronald Grout each walloped 15 or more, too. Ronald Grout drove in 97 runs. Brad Komminsk paced all qualifying hitters on the roster by hitting .273. Rick Behenna topped the squad with 13 wins, and Chuck Fore recorded a 3.37 ERA, best among regular hurlers.

Milt Thompson, Pat Kelly, Jim Acker, Joe Johnson, Mike Colbern, Brad Komminsk, Rick Behenna and Jeff Twitty were all players from the 1982 Savannah Braves who played in the Majors during their careers.
