The Cardinals paced the league with 745 runs, spearheaded by 128 home runs. Springfield surrendered 624 runs. Bob Geren powered the team with 24 home runs, while Curt Ford, Matt Gundelfinger and Dave Clements each walloped 15 or more also. Curt Ford recorded 91 runs batted in. Eddie Tanner led all qualifying hitters on the roster with a .319 average. John Young topped the squad with 15 wins, and Al Morlock recorded a 2.38 ERA, tops among regular hurlers.
