The Salt Lake City Gulls of the Pacific Coast League ended the 1984 season with a record of 74 wins and 66 losses, finishing first in the league's North Division.

The Gulls scored 822 runs and allowed 790 runs. Darnell Coles led Salt Lake City with 14 home runs Al Chambers and Danny Tartabull each drove in 73 runs.
