The Savannah Sand Gnats of the South Atlantic League ended the 2011 season with a record of 79 wins and 60 losses, finishing first in the league's Southern Division.

The Sand Gnats led the league with just 521 runs allowed. Savannah scored 572 runs. Aderlin Rodríguez paced the team with 17 home runs and recorded 78 runs batted in. Albert Cordero topped hitters with significant playing time by connecting at a .286 clip. Angel Cuan paced the squad with 10 wins, while Taylor Whitenton registered a 2.49 earned run average, best among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
