The Missions plated 546 runs and allowed 571 runs. Pat Bourque paced San Antonio with 15 home runs and drove in 83 runs. Bill North led all regular batters with a .291 average. Jim Todd topped the squad with 11 wins, while Rick Reuschel recorded a 2.31 ERA, tops among qualifying pitchers.

Rick Reuschel, Jimmy McMath, Jim Dunegan, Pete LaCock, Jim Todd, Paul Reuschel, Dave Rosello, Pat Bourque and Bill North were all players from the 1971 San Antonio Missions who played in the Major Leagues during their careers.
