The San Antonio Missions of the Texas League ended the 2001 season with a record of 70 wins and 67 losses, finishing second in the league's West Division.

The Missions scored 615 runs and allowed 622 runs. Craig Kuzmic paced San Antonio with 15 home runs and drove in 91 runs. Bo Robinson and Jake Weber topped all regular batters with a .293 average. Jeff Farnsworth and Jeff Heaverlo led the squad with 11 wins each, while Jeff Heaverlo recorded a 3.13 ERA, tops among regular hurlers.
