The Spirits led the league with 734 runs, powered by 160 home runs. Winston-Salem allowed 700 runs. Bubba Smith paced the squad with 27 home runs, while Cleveland Ladell, Bobby Perna, Motorboat Jones and Chad Mottola each walloped 15 or more, too. Chad Mottola drove in 91 runs. Tim Belk topped batters with significant playing time with a .306 average. Joe McCann paced the squad with 11 wins, and Kevin Jarvis recorded a 3.41 ERA, tops among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
