The Asheville Tourists of the Southern League ended the 1969 season with a record of 69 wins and 69 losses, finishing third in the SL.

The Tourists scored 621 runs and conceded 577 runs. Donald Anderson led Asheville with 18 home runs, and Kurt Bevacqua walloped 15 or more, too. Donald Anderson accounted for 100 RBI and topped all regular hitters by connecting at a .324 clip. Mel Behney paced the team with 14 wins, while Steve Blateric registered a 2.84 earned run average, best among qualifying pitchers.

Jim Hibbs, Dave Concepción, Mel Behney, Bruce Von Hoff, Kurt Bevacqua, Bill Henry and Steve Blateric were all players from the 1969 Asheville Tourists who played in the Majors during their careers.

Alex Cosmidis served as manager.
