The Evansville Triplets of the American Association ended the 1982 season with a record of 68 wins and 65 losses, finishing fourth in the league's East Division.

The Triplets plated 648 runs and surrendered 643 runs. Mike Laga walloped 34 home runs for Evansville, while Howard Johnson and Jeff Kenaga swatted 15 or more, too. Mike Laga recorded 90 runs batted in. Howard Johnson paced batters with significant playing time by connecting at a .317 clip. Mark Dacko topped the squad with 12 wins and a team-best 4.16 ERA, leading qualifying pitchers.
