The town is famous for Kenny Hall, nicknamed the Sugarland Express, sometimes noted as the greatest high school running back ever. The scoreboard, one of the largest in minor league ball, rises more than 100 feet above the playing surface. An old fashioned, manually operated scoreboard is within the left-field wall. The stadium, designed by Barton Malow, is host to the Southland Conference Baseball Tournament, 2013, 2015, and 2016.
