The ballpark opened April 10, 2021, a year later than originally scheduled after the 2020 minor league baseball season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Originally constructed to host a AAA team, the facility cost $75 million to build and sits where the Lawrence–Dumont Stadium once stood. The Arkansas River lies just east of the ballpark.
