Rogers Hornsby compiled a career batting average of .358 with 301 home runs and 1584 RBI in his 2259-game career with the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Giants, Boston Braves, Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Browns. He began playing during the 1915 season and last took the field during the 1937 campaign. Hornsby was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1942.
