The San Jose SaberCats of the Arena Football League ended the 2004 season with a record of 11 wins and 5 losses, finishing second in the Arena League's West Division of the American Conference. The team compiled a postseason mark of 3-0.
The SaberCats kept the scoreboard humming with 885 points, and the defensive unit surrendered 754. Mark Grieb directed the offense, slinging for 4,111 yards. James Hundon grabbed 87 passes for 1,253 yards. James Roe contributed to the receiving game as well.
Barry Wagner carried the ball for a team-best 85 yards for San Jose, while Matt Kinsinger and Keala Keanaaina also contributed to the rushing attack.
Omarr Smith picked off 9 opponent throws. Sam Hernandez and Joe Jacobs each topped pass rushers with 4 sacks, part of an overall team total of 15 sacks.
