The Roughriders stumbled, scoring only 382 points, and the leaky defense conceded 517, most in the circuit. Joe Paopao threw for 2,647 yards, and Bernard Quarles played quarterback also. Ray Elgaard led the receiving corps, hauling in 55 receptions for 1,003 yards. Tony Dennis, Bobby Johnson and Daric Zeno each contributed to the receiving game, too.
Bobby Johnson ran for a team-high 869 yards for Saskatchewan.
