The Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League ended the 1987 season with a record of 5 wins and 12 losses and 1 ties for 11 points, finishing fourth in the CFL's West Division.
The Roughriders stumbled, scoring only 364 points, though they the leaky defense gave up 529, most in the circuit. Tom Burgess tossed for 1,691 yards, and Kent Austin took a significant amount of snaps, too. Ray Elgaard led the receiving corps, hauling in 63 receptions for 865 yards.
Walter Bender ran for a team-high 525 yards for Saskatchewan, and Timmy McCray also contributed to the rushing attack.
Harry Skipper intercepted 8 errant tosses from the opposition. Bobby Jurasin topped the defensive unit with 22 quarterback sacks.
John Gregory coached the team.
