The Roughriders stumbled, scoring only 364 points, though they the leaky defense gave up 529, most in the circuit. Tom Burgess tossed for 1,691 yards, and Kent Austin took a significant amount of snaps, too. Ray Elgaard led the receiving corps, hauling in 63 receptions for 865 yards.

Walter Bender ran for a team-high 525 yards for Saskatchewan, and Timmy McCray also contributed to the rushing attack.

Harry Skipper intercepted 8 errant tosses from the opposition. Bobby Jurasin topped the defensive unit with 22 quarterback sacks.

John Gregory coached the team.
