The Asheville Tourists of the South Atlantic League ended the 1963 season with a record of 79 wins and 61 losses, finishing third in the SAL.

The Tourists led the league with 640 runs, sparked by 86 home runs. Asheville allowed 522 runs. Ron Woods and Charlie Leonard paced the team with 15 home runs apiece. Charlie Leonard accounted for 78 RBI and topped all regular hitters by connecting at a .282 clip. Troy Giles paced the squad with 18 wins, while Phillip Cunningham earned a 2.61 ERA, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.

Roberto Peña, Jerry May, John Gelnar, Ron Woods, Dave Wissman, Bob Lee, Milt Graff, Dick Colpaert and Red Swanson were all players from the 1963 Asheville Tourists who played in the Major Leagues during their careers.

Ray Hathaway served as manager.
