The Asheville Tourists of the South Atlantic League ended the 1991 season with a record of 55 wins and 83 losses, finishing seventh in the league's North Division.

The Tourists tallied 549 runs and gave up 689 runs. Tom Nevers paced Asheville with 16 home runs and drove in 71 runs. Jimmy White led batters with significant playing time by connecting at a .256 clip. Douglas Ketchen topped the squad with 10 wins, while Paul Branconier registered a 3.57 earned run average, leading qualifying pitchers.

Jim Dougherty played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Asheville Tourists to do so.

Frank Cacciatore served as manager.
