The Asheville Tourists of the South Atlantic League ended the 1992 season with a record of 74 wins and 66 losses, finishing seventh in the league's North Division.

The Tourists scored 601 runs and yielded 645 runs. Gary Mota led Asheville with 23 home runs, while Eddy Ramos walloped 15 or more, too. Gary Mota recorded 89 runs batted in. Bobby Abreu paced hitters with significant playing time by connecting at a .292 clip. Chris White topped the squad with 13 wins and a team-best 3.38 ERA, best among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
