The Chattanooga Lookouts of the South Atlantic League ended the 1963 season with a record of 62 wins and 78 losses, finishing sixth in the SAL.

The Lookouts plated 578 runs and conceded 608 runs. Billy Sorrell paced Chattanooga with 14 home runs Costen Shockley accounted for 74 RBI and topped all regular batters with a .335 average. Al Neiger led the squad with 13 wins and a team-best 2.87 ERA, leading qualifying pitchers.

Members of the 1963 Chattanooga Lookouts who played in Major League Baseball during their careers were Bill Heath, Adolfo Phillips, Hank Allen, Dave Baldwin, Al Neiger, Billy Sorrell, Bobby Morgan, Costen Shockley, Pat Corrales and Rich Beck.
