The Charleston RiverDogs of the South Atlantic League ended the 2003 season with a record of 77 wins and 62 losses, finishing third in the league's Southern Division.

The RiverDogs plated 657 runs and allowed 591 runs. Vince Harrison paced Charleston with 19 home runs, and John-Paul Davis walloped 15 or more also. Vince Harrison accounted for 79 RBI. B. J. Upton led hitters with significant playing time with a .302 average. Brian Bulger and Nick DeBarr topped the squad with 11 wins each, while Mike Prochaska registered a 2.98 earned run average, leading qualifying pitchers.

Shawn Riggans, Jason Hammel, B. J. Upton, Wes Bankston, Elliot Johnson, Jason Pridie, Jeff Ridgway and Elijah Dukes were all players from the 2003 Charleston RiverDogs who played in the Majors during their careers.
