The Salt Lake City Bees of the Pacific Coast League ended the 1961 season with a record of 67 wins and 87 losses, finishing eighth in the PCL.

The Bees scored 733 runs and conceded 827 runs. Hal Jones led Salt Lake City with 27 home runs, while Al Luplow and Leo Burke walloped 15 or more, too. Hal Jones recorded 100 runs batted in. Al Luplow topped all regular hitters by connecting at a .302 clip. Sam McDowell paced the squad with 13 wins, and Bill Dailey recorded a 3.1 ERA, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
