The Salt Lake Buzz of the Pacific Coast League ended the 1999 season with a record of 73 wins and 68 losses, finishing first in the league's South Division of the Pacific Conference.

The Buzz scored 814 runs and conceded 807 runs. David Ortiz walloped 30 home runs for Salt Lake, while Brian Richardson, Chris Latham and Eddie Williams each swatted 15 or more as well. David Ortiz drove in 110 runs. Chris Latham led hitters with significant playing time by hitting .322. Mark Redman topped the team with 9 wins and a team-best 5.07 ERA, tops among qualifying pitchers.
