Gilmore Field

The club used Gilmore Stadium, football field in 1939 while Gilmore Field was being finished. It was named for Arthur Earl Gilmore, who founded the largest independent oil business in California. The catcher faced SE. The Hollywood Stars of the Pacific Coast League were owned by George Burns, Gracie Allen; Gary Cooper; Walt Disney and Bing Crosby, among others. The park was razed in late 1957 and is now the site of CBS Studio 46.
