The Tourists led the circuit with 817 runs, powered by 101 home runs. Asheville allowed 710 runs, most in the league. Dave Rivera paced the squad with 26 home runs, while Wayne Wilkerson and Bobby Hallgren walloped 15 or more also. Dave Rivera drove in 118 runs and topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .346 clip. Mike Griffin paced the team with 17 wins, plus Steve Finch added 15 or more wins, too Steve Finch recorded a 2.92 ERA, leading regular hurlers.
