The Cubs scored 620 runs and conceded 667 runs. Phil Hiatt led Iowa with 25 home runs, while David Kelton and Midre Cummings walloped 15 or more, too. Phil Hiatt drove in 89 runs and topped all regular hitters by connecting at a .272 clip. Wilton Chavez paced the squad with 11 wins, and Matt Bruback recorded a 3.96 ERA, best among qualifying pitchers.
