The Richmond Flying Squirrels of the Eastern League ended the 2011 season with a record of 76 wins and 66 losses, finishing second in the league's Western Division.

The Flying Squirrels led the circuit with just 557 runs allowed. Richmond scored 574 runs, worst in the league,. Roger Kieschnick paced the squad with 16 home runs and accounted for 65 RBI. Charlie Culberson topped batters with significant playing time by hitting .259. Eric Surkamp paced the squad with 10 wins and a team-best 2.03 ERA, tops among qualifying pitchers.
